Osaamistavoitteet | Upon completing the course, the graduates - know the importance of the human body to protect us against particular diseases (immunity, immunization and production of antibodies) - are aware of the importance of immunology as interdisciplinary subject as well as the value of the immunological diagnostics. - have profound knowledge of immune system and the unspecific and specific immunity as well as T cell and B cell development. - can explain natural and acquired immunity as a result of the activation of cells in immune system - can explain humoral (antibodies and complement) and cellular immune response - know the function of MHC (major histocompatibility complex) type I and type II - have an insight in the defects of immune system - can explain the structures and function of antibodies and antigen - know a clinical laboratory process in the field of immunology (preanalytics, analytics and postanalytics) - can independently carry out immunological analyzes in compliance with the requirements of the quality assurance - can document the results of the analyzes with the existing technologies and understand the importance of the interpretation of the findings - know the main principles regarding patient and work safety - can explain national radiation protection legislation and other regulations governing the use of radiation - can explain the general principles of radiation protection |
