ObjectivesThe student is able to
- explain the structures and operating principles of the equipment used to perform ultrasound and computed tomography examinations
- plan and describe the implementation and assessment of the ultrasound and computed tomography examinations and radiological procedures according to the process thinking principles by using information on the disease in question, on computed tomography examination / radiological procedure, contrast medium, the principles of radiation protection and on work and patient safety.
- use the knowledge of topographic anatomy when examining the ultrasound and computed tomography images
- use the information on a patient’s diseases/traumas diagnosed by using the ultrasound and computed tomography method
Content- ultrasound and computed tomography method, ultrasound and computed
tomography image formation and equipment
- image processing
- process thinking in the most common ultrasound and computed tomography examinations
- the principles of radiation protection
- contrast media
- technical quality assurance
- topographic anatomy and radiology
