| Description | Green Care refers to activities in which nature is used purposefully to maintain and promote well-being of people. Green Care is used in a variety of environments such as the garden, farm, forest, but also in cities and indoors. The well being effects of Green Care activities are created through the revitalization, functionality and community nature of nature. Green Care is carried out purposefully, professionally and responsibly.
The Green Care Savo group project is a two-year project funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, which aims to raise awareness of the sector in Northern Savonia, create new service entities and intensify cooperation between those working in the field. The project involves five entrepreneurs. The project is led by Green Care experts Susanne Hämäläinen and Katriina Pylkkänen from Savonia University of Applied Sciences. |
