Description | The project actors are engaged in several simultaneous investment projects funded by ERDF, and the aim is to support deployment of the machines and equipment funded by ERDF and to create partially mobile distance learning environments for this purpose. Funds are now sought from ESF to develop the skills of personnel both in busi esses and educational institutions to enable optimal benefits of the equipment purchased with ERDF funding. At the same time, expert services are generated for key sectors in the region, enabling a more flexible synchronization of education
and training and the developing needs of industries. The project’s goal is to produce novel education products and services to support people in engaging and remaining in working life. Other goals include provision of information to potential future entrepreneurs of the existing innovation ecosystems and available services, developing working methods to enable extended working life and improving the availability of education and training opportunities particularly outside the regional growth centres. In order to keep up with the needs of different sectors it is more vital than ever for employees to update their skills. Life-long learning has been recognized as one of the key targets to be developed. Ability to predict, recognize and productize competence, and above all, construct flexible and individual learning pathways are qualities expected from educational institutions. Need for internationalization and improvement of productivity are significant boosters of competence improvement. The project is divided into three operational work packages: TP1: Promoting digital know-how within the network TP2: Enhancing competitiveness by application of new technologies in operations TP3: Ensuring availability of skilled workforce and education and training The project will help workforce and businesses meet and match. Employees’ professional skills and multicompetence will deepen and develop in a more flexible way. Accelerated response to workforce needs in sectoral business cycles will shorten the period of unemployment of individual people. Availability of modern education services throughout the region will be boosted by deployment of digital technologies. Educational institutions, businesses and students will be able to access and benefit from the project outcomes that can be developed even further in the future. |
